Hoi Dutchie to be!

In this class, we are going to focus on "structure words" that connect two sentences. Particularly, we will look at the adverbs (in Dutch: bijwoorden) daardoor, daarom, daarna, and daarvoor, and compare them to the conjunction words omdat, doordat, nadat, and voordat.

We will also practice sentence structures, namely the position of the verbs in the subordinate clauses and with inversion.

For example:

1. Voordat ik naar huis ga, moet ik eerst mijn werk afmaken.
2. Ik moet eerst mijn werk afmaken, voordat ik naar huis ga.
3. Ik ga zo naar huis. Daarvoor moet ik eerst mijn werk afmaken.

I have also listed 20 other frequently used adverbs (mainly for time and enumerations). We are practicing with those a bit in this class as well.
